other than momentum, which is obvious:
(this is a complete listing of "things i would listen to in that situation" currently on my itunes- may feature a bunch of stuff i should know you hate :D )
bloodhound gang - i hope you die firewater - when i burn this place down 16 volt - a cloth like gauze unit:187 - nobody (my personal favorite "pissed off at relationship song") front 242 - animal faith no more - midlife crisis combichrist - well, a bunch of it. it's so angry! and so pointlessly so! KMFDM - adios ayria - my device erasure - love to hate you (okay, it's a little silly, but still angry!)
i feel like i should be able to think of better stuff than this. i will try.
I love erasure's "Love to Hate you" I played that Saturday night at New Wave City.
I'd be happy to help only i don't no what the circumstances are. ;)
About 2.5 months ago Alex walked out on me with no warning. There are more details which have come to lite in recent days but I don't want to go into it here.
Thus - why I have Battery's "Aftermath" on repeat.
Oh wow... that's awful! I had no idea.
See all you miss not coming out much :-) It sucks big time so if you have any good song suggestions, send them my way.
The only one that's coming to mind is This Digital Ocean -- Android, and i'm not sure that will help you. :(
Oh, i stumbled into another one today!
Hexedene -- Fade Out from Me.
Youch! Sorry to hear about this :(
You definately are not alone in this. My cousin's husband walked out on her and their son on September 14, no warning, just said "I don't want to be married anymore."
It takes time, but things will get better.
yes that is about what happened. But how awful when there is a child involved. At least we didn't have that. Thanks for your kind words.
Oh my GOD.
Oh.
I had no idea.
SO, SO sorry to hear this, lady!
You have my deepest sympathies. Please take good care of yourself!
Thank you - it sucks big time. I fell apart when he first left, then I got up and started to get on with things but this week a number of things have left me falling down again. I know I'll pick myself up again but it just hurts with a big OUCH!
Yeah. OH MAN. I can imagine...
Sometimes I just pick myself up STAT before I'm ready and push myself onward, since I'm just not ready to deal yet, and I'll come back to it later....
Ouch.
Let me know if you want my LJ-links where I get coping advice from others and also list my own...sometimes lists help!
Yes I would love those links.
Assemblage 23-Never Forgive Curve-Wish You Dead God Module-Interference
I love Never Regret - perfect!!!! I know you can find me more.
Not like he was a great role model (or even made good music), but maybe GG Allin's "You Hate Me and I Hate You."
Sorry we couldn't meet up last month. I'll give you a call sometime.
OMG - Christina Aguilera's FIGHTER - 100% and all the way. Now *that* is a recovery song.
and I love the cheesy pop music!
Fuck yeah! Angry little girls make me recover faster!
Songs that helped me through rough times:
Sol Invictus: Stay Combichrist: Enjoy the Abuse Android Lust: A few songs off of "Resolution" Dead Can Dance: The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove The Dresden Dolls: Good Day & The Perfect Fit & Backstabber Actually there are quite a few more.... Marc and the Mambas: Black Heart The Swans: several songs....
*hugs*
fuck... id heard mutterings, but didnt really know the full spiel... crap. i have no words to convey how sorry i am to hear this news. give yourself a huge huge huge hug from me, ok?
i cant even begin to come up with song suggestions - most of what id likely listen to in the same situation is more sonically angry than lyrically.
shit. its been quite a year for that sort of things, somehow...
This year has just sucked! I miss you. It has been too long since we've talked. Email me and we can catch up.

Most of my bad college-era-and-onward breakups involved NIN in some way or another. Trent Reznor seems so kicked to the curb by relationships in all of his music, and conveys the resultant bitterness and anger. Ringfinger. . . etc.
Hmm. NIN, or perhaps Ministry. Classics, I know, but still effective with their angry mindless violence.
*sigh/hug*
Yes there has been much NIN in the mix |
